Back Everton to Pull off FA Cup Shock at Liverpool

Carlo Ancelotti is the only manager to guide his side to a win against Liverpool this season and it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility that the Italian will do so again.

Everton make the short trip across Stanley Park to face local rivals Liverpool in what promises to be an exciting FA Cup encounter this weekend.

The Goodison Park side have been in good form since Marco Silva was axed in early December, first under caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson and now with experienced Ancelotti.

Ferguson guided Everton to victory over Chelsea and then secured a good draw at Man United, though his side did lose out to Leicester City on penalties in the EFL Cup. In recent weeks the club drew with Arsenal and defeated Burnley and Newcastle United and then lost out narrowly to Man City on New Year’s Day.

What plays in Everton’s favor is that Jurgen Klopp will almost certainly rest a bunch of his first-choice starters, especially given the busy schedule Liverpool have had to overcome with games in the Premier League, the EFL Cup and the World Club Cup over the past month.

Ancelotti on the other hand will surely field his strongest side as he seeks to help Everton to some silverware in his first season in charge.

US Sportsbook Bovada offer +235 on Everton, which is a touch conservative, but an interesting option to consider. 5Dimes offers a slightly more improved +239 while Intertops Sportsbook gives you +250.

Liverpool are of course having an outstanding season and look certain to end their 30-year wait for a domestic title after starting their season flawlessly but with so many games to partake in it’s clear Klopp must look to his second string to step-up against Everton and that’s where you, the experienced sports betting crowd, get your opportunity for a big win.
