Barcelona to Go All In With Massive Offer for Inter Milan Forward Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona are looking to beef up their attacking options and their efforts to bring in additional striking alternatives have hit a new high.

The La Liga side, no doubt one of many, are keen on signing in-form Inter Milan ace Lautaro Martinez and are looking to offset the cost of the transfer by offering a number of players in part-exchange for the Argentine.

Spanish sports site Sport.es claim Inter want as much as $111m for the 22-year-old, who has scored 16 goals in all competitions in 2019/20, and Barcelona will offer cash plus the services of utility man Arturo Vidal and full-back Nelson Samedo into the bargain.

Newly appointed Barcelona head coach Quique Setien has seen his forward line decimated by injury with both Luis Suarez and Ousame Dembele sidelined with long-term problems, this led to emergency signing of Danish international Martin Braithwaite.

Though the Catalan giants signed Antoine Griezmann in a massive deal over the summer it’s fair to say that Frenchman hasn’t delivered the goods in nearly the level that was expected, hence the added need to sign another goal-scorer.

Right now Barcelona relies far too heavily on Lionel Messi and as such the signing of Martinez is very much needed. Indeed in many ways the sports betting market reflects this issue with most US sportsbooks, such as with Wagerweb soccer odds, offering Real Madrid preferable odds for domestic success.

One imagines that Martinez would be keen to team up with his national team colleague and the allure of a move to Barcelona will be hard to prevent Inter Milan from keeping hold of such a talented youngster.

Barcelona lost to arch-rivals Real Madrid over the weekend and subsequently lost their lead of the Spanish championship
