Liverpool Move One Step Closer to Premier League Title With Crystal Palace Win
Liverpool are now within touching distance of a first domestic title in 30 years after a comfortable win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are running away with the Premier League title and required just four points to make certain and they got three of those points with a standard win over Crystal Palace, managed by former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson.
Goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Sadio Mane gave the Anfield side a 4-0 win and means that should Manchester City fail to beat Chelsea on Thursday, then Liverpool will be named champions of England.
Liverpool have been in awesome form since the season kicked off, winning 28 of 31 matches thus far, and look likely to break all manner of records before the 2019-20 season is completed.
Klopp has seen his superb attacking trio of Salah, Mane and Roberto Fimino cause all sorts of problems in the final third but it’s arguably their backline that has proven the real reason that they have seen off Manchester City this season.
Brazilian keeper Alisson has been amazing between the goalposts and the likes of Virgil van Dijk and full-backs Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson have made the Merseyside club almost unbeatable.
Though the title race may be over there is still a lot to consider when making your Premier League bets this season, with the race for the top four and relegation being red hot with only a matter of weeks to go.
