NBA Futures: Great Bets for 2020
With the NBA season heading towards the mid-way point, and talk moving towards the All-Star game, the time is right to grab a good strong NBA futures bet and here are a few to consider.
LeBron James to win MVP +800
Clearly the big favorite, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is where you could make a safe wager but unless you are ready to put down a truly staggering sum, you’ll not win a great deal as the odds on the Milwaukee Bucks are so low.
Therefore it’s worth considering moving your NBA bet elsewhere and while the likes of Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis are worth considering, we like the romantic option of backing LA Lakers star LeBron James, where you can make a tidy sum right now.
Houston Rockets to win the NBA Championship +1200
Again, much like the MVP market, there are the ‘obvious’ favorites you could slap a $10 bet on but there isn’t much to be garnered by doing so, such are the odds on the likes of the LA Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and the LA Clippers, so why not think outside the box and pick an underdog?
Last year the Rockets lost out in the Conference Semi-finals to the Golden State Warriors after a solid 53-29 regular season. This time around they sit top of the SouthWest Division with a 33-18 record and are a consistent franchise worth making a wager on, especially if James Harden continues to perform at his peak.
Zion Williamson to win Rookie of the Year award +400
The big money in the race for the Rookie of the Year award betting is on Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, and that’s no surprise given the season he’s had, but again it’s a case of moving beyond the obvious and therefore a smart bet would be on New Orleans Pelicans’ forward Zion Williamson to pick up this coveted award and it’s best to get in on this one earl as he’s really getting into gear right now.
