Manchester United’s fine recent run of Premier League form, coupled with disastrous results from Chelsea and Leicester City, means that the Old Trafford side are now in prime position to return to the Champions League for next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have gone ten unbeaten in the Premier League and the Norwegian boss saw Chelsea humbled 3-0 by Sheffield United and Leicester City thumped 4-1 by relegation threatened Bournemouth over the weekend and now Man United have a top four spot within reach.

Man United have been unstoppable since the Premier League returned following the coronavirus outbreak with their attack causing all sorts of problems for the opposition.

Youngsters Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, along with Anthony Martial and new addition Bruno Fernandes have racked up a run of victories that puts them on course to leap over Chelsea and Leicester City.

The club have scored 14 goals in their last four matches and the pairing in midfield of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic has helped breed consistency at the club.

Manchester United’s Champions League odds have improved a great deal and wins in their final four matches would assure them of a third place finish in the top tier, which would represent a real success for the club, who are also still battling for silverware in the FA Cup and the Europa League.

Solskjaer’s side take on Southampton, Crystal Palace and West Ham United before finishing the season away at Leicester City in a game that is sure to be a titanic encounter which could prove vital for both sides.

Liverpool have of course already won the Premier League title but there is still a great deal to play for in terms of the race for European football in 2020-21.
