Super Bowl 2020: Predictions and Bets Ahead of Chiefs vs. 49ers Clash

Though the Kansas City Chiefs are narrow favorites ahead of their massive encounter with the San Francisco 49ers, we believe history will not be on their side on February 2nd in Miami.

A great deal of what happens to the Chiefs depends on the performance of QB Patrick Mahomes and we are backing the 49ers rushing game to be at full throttle as they overcome their underdog status to win their first Super Bowl since 1994.

Super Bowl LIV Prediction

49ers 32, Chiefs 24

The Super Bowl rushing record stands at a whopping 280 yards and no side has even topped 200 yards for 30+ years but the 49ers are in the right shape to reach new heights in a match-up that comes along at the perfect time.

The 49ers rushed for an average of 144 yards during the regular season, second best in the league, and in postseason the have a barnstorming average of 235.5 yards and their form is picking up nicely.

The likes of Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida should prove a real headache for the Chiefs defense.

Remember also that the pressure on Kansas to win their first Super Bowl title in 50 years will be truly immense and we expect that to get into their players’ heads, if the 49ers can nullify Mahomes then that’s half the job done.

Such are the attacking threats on show that many are predicting, fairly, that Super Bowl 54 could be the highest scoring of all time.

That record currently sits at 75 points, which was secured back when the San Diego Chargers were thumped 49-26 by the 49ers, we feel that this record may not be overcome but there will certainly be enough TDs to push the Over on the spread.

Expect fireworks on Sunday, more than just those that ring out during J-Lo’s half-time show, with the 49ers ending victors.
