Tom Brady Signs With Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Legendary quarterback Tom Brady has officially signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and therefore ending his 20 season career with the New England Patriots in the process.

The 42-year-old is a six-time Super Bowl champion and was out of contract at the completion of the last campaign and has signed a multi-year deal with Tampa Bay having announced his departure from the Gillette Stadium side on Tuesday.

Some had wondered if Brady would indeed decide to hang up his boots but the desire is clearly still there for the record breaking NFL star.

Brady has appeared in nine Super Bowls, winning six, and has the NFL quarterback record for both regular season wins (219) and play off wins (30).

Currently Tampa Bay are a long shot to win the Super Bowl in 2021, at +4000 with a number of US Sportsbooks, but one imagines that the signing of Brady will greatly improve their chances at a first Super Bowl triumph since 2002, which is their only win to date.

It is believed that the two-year deal is worth as much as $50m which also includes the potential for an additional $9m in incentives.

Brady was drafted in 2000 after graduating from Michigan and as well as his six Super Bowls he has been named MVP on four occasions and has taken part in 14 Pro Bowls and is widely considered one of the best players in the history of the NFL.
