Breaking Down The Craziest NBA Offseason Of All Time
Player movement and the ability to decide their own fate has helped make the NBA offseason as compelling, or even more compelling, than the actual season. The amount of trades and big-time free agent signings this offseason are like none other in NBA history. So much so that, as it stands today, only four teams will be bringing back a roster that counted towards 75% of last season’s minutes. Let’s take a look at just some of the many big moves made during this offseason. KD & Kyrie Join Forces in New York…Brooklyn, NY – Kevin Durant’s decision to leave the Golden State Warriors in favor of the Brooklyn Nets spurned many New York Knicks fans. Brooklyn will have to wait a year to reap the benefits of having arguably the best scorer in the league at their disposal, as Durant will likely miss the entirety of the 2019-20 season as he rehabs from a torn Achilles. The good news is Kyrie will be there to hold down the ship while KD gets right. AD to LA – Anthony Davis finally got his wish to get out of New Orleans. The Brow has now joined forces with The King in Los Angeles in what could very well be the making of a championship team. Board Man Gets Paid – And paid he does, to the tune of 3 years, $103 million plus. Kawhi Leonard opted out of the chance to defend his NBA Championship in Toronto in favor of returning back to his home town of Los Angeles.
Yet it is the Clippers not the Lakers whom Kawhi will be suiting up for next season. With the arrival of AD and Kawhi, the Battle of LA is alive and well. The best NBA betting sites have taken notice of all these changes around the league. Thanks to the abundance of player movement this offseason, there has been a seismic shift of the NBA landscape. This is also combined with the fact that for the first time in what feels like forever, the Golden State Warriors are not your favorites to win it all. As we sit here today NBA betting excitement is at its true pinnacle.
