Legend Cristiano Ronaldo Collects Yet Another Record

Anyone who thought, foolishly, that Cristiano Ronaldo was looking to see out his career in sedate fashion at Juventus should probably reassess their thinking.

The 34-year-old Portuguese international hit a stunning hat-trick in Juventus’ first match after the winter break, helping the reigning champions to an easy 4-0 win at home to Cagliari.

In doing so, Ronaldo has become only the second player ever to net a hat-trick in Premier League, La Liga and Serie A action, the other being Chilean Alexis Sanchez.

Astonishingly this is the former Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United and Real Madrid striker’s 56th hat-trick, if you include his national team exploits, and he sits atop of the list of all-time hat-trick scorers.

Juventus, who have won the past eight Serie A titles in a row, are now coming under concerted pressure from Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan, with the San Siro side seeing forwards Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku greatly impressing.

In terms of interesting betting action it may well be worth backing Juventus to triumph in the Champions League, for the first time since 1996, this term and there are certainly great bets to be had in this futures market.

Bovada are offering a superb +1000 on Juventus in the Champions League betting and what makes these odds all the more interesting is the fact that the Italian giants’ main rivals face very tough draws in the round of 16.

Man City take on Real Madrid and Liverpool take on Atletico Madrid while Chelsea face Bayern Munich. This means three of the top sides will be out of the reckoning when it comes to the last eight.

Juventus on the other hand have what appears to be a relatively simple encounter with French side Lyon to overcome, so these odds are well worth jumping on.
