Los Angeles Lakers Win Again as Hot Streak Continues

Anthony Davis put in a masterful display to help the LA Lakers to a ninth win in ten as they overcame injury-struck Philadelphia to the sword to further their push for the NBA title.

Once again LeBron James took a back-seat to one of his team-mates as Davis scored 37 points, including 18 in a second quarter push that gave the Lakes the win over the 76ers. 120-107.

The Lakers wins means the two sides split their season series and four defeats in six mean that Philadelphia must get back into gear soon.

The win puts the Lakers in firm control of the Western Conference, five games ahead of the Clippers and six clear of the Nuggets.

Davis has hit a rich vein of form that has seen the 26-year-old top score for the Lakers in 11 of the last 16 matches and this had coincided with the Los Angeles side going from strength to strength since early February.

The Lakers are now set in second spot in the NBA Championship betting, with odds of +250 with MyBookie, with just the Milwaukee Bucks ahead of them in the running.

The Bucks have won just one NBA title prior to 2020, and that happened way back in 1971, and their chances of going all the way this year is down almost exclusively to the awesome efforts of NBA MVP elect Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks have made it to the postseason in each of the past three seasons and will hope to go further into the bracket picture after a stunning regular season that has seen them produce a superb 52-8 record thus far.
