World Series 2019: Nationals and Astros Go Head to Head in What Promises to be a Titanic Battle

The Houston Astros will take on the Washington Nationals in the 2019 World Series and the American League Champions are most sportsbook favorites to triumph in the MLB finale.

The Astros are rightfully in the driving seat in the MLB betting as they are no strangers to the postseason, having reached this stage in four of the past five years and won the World Series back in 2017 when they squeezed past the Los Angeles Dodgers in game seven.

The Nationals on the other hand have not won the title in their franchise history and the city itself hasn’t reached a final since 1933, and even then the Washington Senators were beaten by the New York Giants.

Game 1 gets underway on October 22nd, with the Astros hosting the Nationals, and the one plus in the Washington column is the fact that their roster are well-rested as they defeated the Cardinals in a sweep.

When comparing the two outfits regular season records it’s once again it’s the Minute Maid Park side that comes out on top.

Houston Astros completed a hugely impressive 107-55 record against Washington’s 93-69 regular season stats.

A.J. Hinch has far more strength in depth to call upon and the 2017 title win will give his Astros a real psychological edge but it will be all to play for in the MLB show-piece and it’s worth considering the possibility of an upset and perhaps Astros playoff hero second basemanJose Altuve is the man to make a real impact in what promises to be a thrilling World Series.
